Happy Valentine's Day

Between Ryan's birthday and Valentine's Day, it's been a very fun week. Since we've already covered Ry's bday festivities, let's move on to the Vday fun. On Thursday night our friends threw a great Valentine's Day party. Emily always puts together fantastic parties and this was no exception. I wish I would have had my camera to get pictures of all the great details, but I do have these from my friend Juliann who was smart enough to remember her camera.

Charlie, Emily (the hostess), and Tara

Jamie and me

Some of the yummy food - behind the dip are homemade, heart-shaped tortilla chips!

The party was an absolute success. Thank you Ames for being wonderful hosts and having us all over!

Over the weekend Ryan and I were actually able to make it to a movie on opening weekend. Not sure when the last time that happened for us. Saturday night, after enjoying an afternoon in the sun at 3rd Street (it was 75 degrees here - what's the weather like where you are?), we drove to Valencia to see the new movie, Valentine's Day. I don't know what we'll do when we actually have to start paying babysitters someday. Thanks Rick and Connie for watching Westin again! While the movie was just OK, it was so nice to just sit in a theater and watch a movie Ryan.

After the movie, we headed home where Ryan surprised me with a Valentine's gift - spa pedicure at Burke Williams!!! I was totally not expecting it and will be using it immediately. Thanks, babe!

As for today, we dressed this cutie up in some red and had a nice morning at church. Afterwards we had dinner with Ryan's parents and spent the afternoon playing with Westin outside.

Ryan got Westin dressed after church... think someone is a little excited for the baseball season to start?
