Back in May we had the pleasure of hosting Erika and Robbie for a few days. Last time we had seen them was when Avery was about 6 weeks old and Robbie was two months. They've grown quite a bit since then!
Erika is also good friends with my friend Missy, who lives here in SF nearby but is original from Utah and lived around the corner from Erika and Kurt. (Such a small world!). Anyway, it was so fun to all hang out with the kiddos. One day we drove into the city and across Golden Gate Bridge to take about a mile walk to the beach. It started out a little cloudy but later turned into a beautiful day.

I used to love playing this game at the beach. My brothers and I called it
"Hot Lava," where you just get as close to the water as possible when it recedes and then run as fast as you can away from it when the wave crashes. Westin seems to like it now too.
This one will still pose with mom for a pic. Meanwhile, W was having a blast digging in the sand.
We all miss our SoCal beaches... a lot.
