I Should Be Doing the Dishes...

But instead, I'll post about our week, sip on my Diet Coke, and hold off on emptying the dishwasher for just a little longer.

With Ryan in Denver all week, I tried to keep a booked social calendar for W and me so we wouldn't be thinking about how much we missed Ryan :)

Monday: music makers - this was our first week and Westin was a little on edge the whole time. I think the chaos of all the kids running around actually intimidated him a bit, but hopefully after we go some more, he gets used to it and has a blast.

Tuesday: lunch and shopping with Abby, dinner at my place with Mary & Val (two of my high school girlfriends that I haven't seen in like forever!)

At first glance, this next picture looks kind of like Westin is going in for a little smootch (how cute!), but no, he's just trying to take her pacie.

Moments before I SHOULD have headed to bed (geez that girl on the left looks tired!). That's Val in the middle and Mary on the right.

Wednesday: Cafe Rio outting with the girls and kiddos. I grabbed this picture from Britney's blog. The whole gang included, Britney & Zoey, Katie & Zack, Kim & Harrison, Kim, Sarah & Luke, and Juliann, Camden & Brinley. We basically took up half the place.

Thursday: park day in the morning and airplanes at LAX in the afternoon

Every Thursday we meet our friends at the park (different park each month). It's really fun to explore the different parks around town, and I love to see Westin run around and interact with all the other kids.

During this week's park day, Westin stumbled upon Max's helmet and thought it was AWESOME, clearly...

After the park, lunch and a nap, we picked up Megan and Eli and drove down to LAX to watch the planes land. There's a perfect grassy area (conventiently located across the street from In and Out) to sit and watch the planes fly over our heads. It was super chilly outside, so we didn't stay too long, but we got to see about a dozen planes land and warmed up with some french fries.

And a big WELCOME HOME Ryan!!! We've missed you and are glad we get to have you around for 2 days before you have to leave again.
