Happy Birthday Ryan

Today is Ryan's 26th birthday and the poor guy is spending it on a plane to Tennessee. Two words: that sucks! Knowing that Ryan was going to be gone today, and the rest of the week, we started the birthday festivities Friday afternoon. Westin and I met Ryan for lunch during the workday. The rain cleared for just a little bit and we were able to go on a nice little walk too before Ryan had to head back to the office.

That night, my dad, Loni, and Kenzie drove down to Santa Monica to take us out to dinner. We tried a restaurant just around the corner from our apartment called Banderas. (Yes, Westin was with us, he was just off to the side sleeping).

Ryan making sure we knew that it was HIS birthday.

After dinner we walked out to a down pour. Since the restaurant was just three blocks from our place, we had walked to the restaurant though it had been drizzling. Walking the three blocks back was not as easy. Even with umbrellas, we all got soaked. Westin was the only one who was completely dry. He was covered by the stroller and an umbrella.
Continuing the celebration, we drove up to Valencia Saturday afternoon to meet up with some friends to go bowling. Of course we made it a competition between the boys and the girls. Unfortunately the girls didn't win, but a big shout out to Erin who beat both Ryan and Mike in the second game.

The boys' team The girls' team

Westin is clearly getting sick of all the pictures we take of him. Looks like he'll know exactly what to do when the paparazzi come around.

After bowling, Ryan and I dropped W off at Ryan's parents' house while we went to dinner at Wood Ranch. While we missed W, it was nice to have a dinner where I could eat with two hands.
Sunday we went to church with Ryan's parents and then had a yummy birthday dinner.

Since Ryan is gone today, we opened his presents last night when we got back from Valencia.
Westin, the big helper.
Doesn't it kind of look like he's actually helping Ryan open the present?

So that ends the birthday celebration. I hope you had a good time, babe. You certainly deserve it. Thank you for being such a wonderful husband and an amazing father. I love you more than words will ever be able to describe!!!

Ryan, now your work is getting in the way of your birthday? We cannot have this. When will the madness end?
