San Diego Weekend

After a long week of work, Ryan and I headed down to San Diego to meet up my mom, Kenzie, Torsten and Trevor for a weekend at Hotel del Coronado. The rest of the gang had been down there all week, but we only joined for the weekend.
We drove down early Saturday morning and got to the hotel in time for a nice brunch on the patio and then some much needed R&R by the beach and the pool. Here's my mom, Kenzie and Ryan walking back from the beach.
After a day in the sun, we drove off Coronado and over to Point Loma where we went to a family favorite for dinner, Nati's, a Mexican restaurant. Back in the day, when my mom was a little girl, she used to come here with her grandma during the summers. Then throughout my childhood, any time we went to San Diego, stopping at Nati's was a must.

Big smiles after a delicious dinner!

And the whole gang - Torsten, mom, Kenzie, Trevor and Ryan - sorry it's a little dark

Before dinner, Makenzie and I had a little photo shoot with her new Mac laptop. We took a ton of pictures but couldn't get a single one where she or I decided not to mess it up with some goofy pose. Sunday morning Ryan and I slept in a little (8 a.m.) and then took a nice stroll along the boardwalk and through some neighborhoods. Thank heavens we went on the walk, cause we ate ourselves sick at the Sunday brunch. This brunch was pretty insane. There were about six different food stations - with tons of food at each. We literally had to pace ourselves and just do tasters for things we wanted. Otherwise, if we had full plates from each, it would have been deadly.

This picture is kind of funny - the serve taking our picture was purposely trying to put the crowns on our heads.

The weekend ended at Ryan's best friend's house in Mission Bay, where Ryan and Cole did their Fantasy Football draft. Ryan was super stoked because this was the first year he got the number one draft position. It literally made his weekend.

While the boys spent the afternoon and part of the evening researching and preparing for the draft, I watched season 2 of The Office. Can't say that was the highlight of my weekend, but it was great to see Cole and get away with the family for weekend at the beach. Thanks mom and Torsten!

That makes me laugh... Ryan's excitement about fantasy football. It reminds me of the good 'ole days when you guys were up in utah! Hey speaking of which, when do you come up here?
