On Tuesday, we met up with the Eltons at Underwood Family Farms. To my surprise, Megan and the boys had never been there. I was so excited for them to check it out, and even more excited to get to spend the day with them.
I absolutely love this place. There is so much for the kids to do, and they can be as loud and crazy as they want while they do it! We started off by looking at the different animals and then watching the animal show (which W and I had actually never seen before either).
We got there a little early to get front row.
We realized quickly it may have been a little too early... with these restless boys who couldn't stop moving or teasing each other. I think when Westin gets together with Eli and Isaac, he just assumes the role of the third brother :)
After the animal show, we bought the boys tickets to do a couple of the activities. Westin and Issac chose the bouncy house.
And then Eli decided on the tractors... which turned out to be one of their favorite moments of the day. They could have ridden these all afternoon.
Afterwards, we headed out to the fields to pick strawberries.
Little did I know, after all this time going to the farm, that there is a fall strawberry field and a spring strawberry field - with the spring strawberry field being a little further out and kind of hidden. We ended up at the fall strawberry field, which didn't have ton of great strawberries left. The boys didn't seem to mind and had a blast hunting for the berries. And Megan and I just bought fresh ones from the farmer's market there, anyway. So really, everyone won in the end.
After picking strawberries, we hopped on the real tractor and took a ride around the farm before heading home. Four hours just wasn't enough with these guys... always wish there was more time... or that we still lived by them. (sigh)
When we returned to grandma's house, she was finishing up work and ready to head out with us on some errands. Westin was thrilled to ride with Sage, who was joining us to get some shot at the vet.
And then there was a little visit to an old fashioned candy store...
And take out from one of my favorite local joints.
Truly a fabulous day!
