Mr. Otter

Lately, Westin has started playing pretend with his stuffed animals. It's usually Mickey Mouse or Mr. Otter (who was actually Ryan's stuffed animal growing up). Today, Mr. Otter was the chosen one. As we were getting ready to leave this morning, Westin asked if Mr. Otter could go to church and wear his "church shirt." Since today isn't Sunday, I told W that we weren't going to church but Mr. Otter could come in the car with us. Westin then asked if Mr. Otter could wear a tie. Sure. Then, as I was putting Westin's shoes on, he asked if Mr. Otter could have some too. Sure thing, bud.

Westin and Mr. Otter all set to go.

Later in the morning, Westin wanted to read to Mr. Otter. During reading time, Westin would tell Mr. Otter what the pictures were. He'd pull Mr. Otter close to him and say, "see that Otter, that's a frog." At one point, Westin looked and me and said, "Mom, Mr. Otter has a question." I figured out that W really wanted me to ask the question for Mr. Otter. So I did and Wesitn answered.

And a couple random shots from the weekend - a truck ride at the mall...

and the boys with their chips watching the game on Sunday
This 1:30 church schedule really put a damper on our Super Bowl plans. And we couldn't even skip out early now that we have a calling as Primary Teachers. Oh well, still fun to hang with these boys and watch the Steelers lose.
