Our Adventures in Omaha - Day 3

After staying up way too late my first night, I somehow worked up the energy to join Allie for another early morning workout on Wednesday. Though it was early, cold and still dark, I loved every minute of our morning exercising (even after our Rocky workout - when we killed ourselves on stairs and a leg/butt workout that left us cripple for the next two days). Mitch was so great and would hang out with the boys until we got home.

Westin and Easton were also eager to get their day started on Wednesday, and were able to enjoy a little time with Mickey and Cheerios.

Later that morning we headed off to the Children's Museum in downtown Omaha. The kids had an absolute blast here.

Westin loves pressing any kind of button, and these ones were particularly awesome because they made sounds

As part of the museum's Halloween special, there was a kids' haunted house. This was Westin's first experience with a haunted house and he seemed to really enjoy it. He walked in and as soon as he saw the pumpkins, he shouted, "Halloween time!"

After the museum, we headed to a nearby park where we had a picnic lunch and then spent about 45 minutes riding these giant slides. Westin couldn't get enough of them. Immediately after he was done with one ride, he's say, "Again, mom. One more!"

Before heading home, Chris took the boys on a walk to see the ducks. By the end of the week, all of Allie's boys were calling him Uncle Chris. It was so cute.

That afternoon we played at the park with the boys, then had Chris come join us for honey lime enchiladas and a pumpkin trifle for dessert. Allie and I had high hopes of going back out on the town, but we were so exhausted it just turned into a night of TV. Perfect.
