Westin has gotten pretty good at saying "ganpa" or "papa," but hasn't really gotten the "grandma" thing down yet. He will sometimes call my mom "mama" or even "mommy" (not ok, that's my name, bud). However, during this recent trip, when I asked Westin who my mom was, he said, "gammy." My mom and I were so excited when he said that. We've never called my mom that, but she loves it and is now officially going by "gammy" for Westin and all future grandkids. So cute.

So, Westin and Gammy came up with this little game and W couldn't get enough of it. They would lay on the floor, turn their heads away from each other, then turn their heads back toward each other, and then Westin would start cracking up. Not sure what's so funny about the game, but W loved it and would repeatedly run and lay on the floor, pat the ground for Gammy to lay next to him and play the game as long as Gammy could stand it.

One of the days my mom was here we met up with Margaret and Mandy for a mother-daughter (plus one son) lunch at Cafe Montana. Westin hung in there pretty well. I think he only threw his sippy cup across the room once. Oh, and not sure if you can tell in this picture, but I totally parted and styled Westin's hair. OMG, it's the cutest thing ever. It really makes him look older!

My mom also watched Westin while Ryan and I went to dinner and a movie with friends on Saturday night. What a treat that was! Thanks mom. We miss you already!!!

Now we're back to the daily grind. Ryan is actually in town this week and only has one more week of travel during his last three weeks at Monitor (sweet!). In fact, let the countdown to his last day of work begin: 14 days!!!
*Ryan has informed me that my previous spelling of "gammie" was incorrect and it should be spelled "gammy"... hence the change... if you even noticed :)
