Weekend Fun

This weekend most of Ryan's family was in town to attend one of Rick's famous stake choir performances (he is the stake choir director and creates a really spectacular evening - he not only directs, he also arranges a lot of the music).

In preparation for all the family to come, Westin helped me get the laundry done Friday. And he does it with a smile... think that will last into his teens?

Before all the family events on Saturday, we spent Friday night with Trevor, BreAnne and Nate. Since we live so darn far apart now, we decided to meet in the middle for dinner. It's just too hard to go a month without seeing these guys.

Westin and Nate conversing about dinner and how they enjoyed throwing most of their food on the floor the entire night (oh wait, that was just Westin - Nate just quietly sucked on bread)

BreAnne, Nate and me (Westin was off playing hide and go seek with dad)

Westin has started noticing the moon (and says it like, "moooon"). The bottom two pictures are Westin getting excited about the moooon. The top two are just cute.

Then on Saturday and Sunday we stayed in Valencia to be with the fam. Actually, let me correct myself. We TRIED to stay in Valencia. For some reason Westin could not get comfortable sleeping. He was restless for hours and finally at 2 a.m. Ryan and I decided to just drive home to sleep the rest of the night. And sure enough, the second Westin got back in his crib, he slept perfectly until 9 a.m. Needless to say, mom and dad were EXHAUSTED the next day. We did manage to get back to Valencia for church, dinner and the big event.

After church we spent the afternoon outside (in our 70 degree weather) blowing bubbles and playing basketball.
As if you can't tell, W is a big fan of bubbles

Ryan, Grant and W playing ball
And the sweet Emery (almost 7 months) relaxing in the shade on mom's lap

At one point the girls kidnapped W and "used" him to play house. I say "used" because when Ryan went upstairs to get Westin, the girls said, "hey, can't he stay, we're using him." Here's Miranda, Lily and Delaney with their "baby boy."

And the only boys among the group of girl cousins: Westin and Grant. These guys have got to stick together!
It was so fun to see everyone and Rick's performance turned out amazing.

The pictures turned out so cute of Westin with the moon! I'm so sorry he didn't do well at Ryan's house. Those darn kiddos get so used to their crib :)
