Happy Easter

Not much to report from this weekend, except some quality time with Ryan. He was gone all last week, and is already off to Denver again through Friday. (How many days till business school starts and I can have my husband back?).

Saturday was the start of General Conference and the Final Four, so we tried to watch as much of both as possible. In between the events, we decided to take a little trip over to West Hollywood to check out Millions of Milkshakes. Yes, it's exactly what it's called. Any topping, candy or flavoring you can think of is at your disposal to create any kind of shake you'd like.

Before heading out, we actually had to get Westin dressed for the day which has recently turned into a difficult and annoying task. I know I'm much stronger, but this kid has got some muscles and can squirm out of just about any kind of hold. This is usually what I'm chasing around in the mornings.

About half way through, this is where we're at
And finally, we made it to Millions of Milkshakes...
Clearly, there were no disappointments.

Sunday was Easter, as you know. Westin woke up to his Easter basket and then we drove up to Ryan's parent's house to watch the final sessions of General Conference and to enjoy a yummy Easter dinner.

Forget about the new sand toys, the markers or the coloring pad, Westin went straight for the candy-filled plastic eggs.

After dinner Ryan took Westin outside to play some ball. Westin loves basketball these days (he's got a mini hoop at home he likes to slam dunk on), and couldn't get enough of it with his dad.

We had a small basketball for Westin but he had absolultey no interest in it when he saw the real deal.

W didn't miss a shot
and even learned how to hang on the rim after dunking. That's my boy!

The one little problem we ran into while playing basketball with Westin was the newest word in his vocabulary: MINE! I'm not exactly sure where he picked this one up, maybe kids' club at the gym, but one thing is for sure, he did not learn it from us! That's one word I've been avoiding like the plague, and now here it is, ALL THE TIME. Any time Ryan and I would try to shoot the basketball, he'd run over to us shouting, "mine, mine, mine, mine...". This morning at the grocery store, we'd walk down an aisle and he'd say, "mine, mine, mine" as he tried to grab items off the shelf. Hopefully, this is just a little phase and we'll be out of it soon. Hopefully...

Gotta love the word "mine." E isn't even talking yet if it makes you feel any better. P.S. Do you know where you are headed yet?
