Whenever Ryan or I would practice at home with W, he used his incredible imagination to pretend we were playing a professional game and he was someone like Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, or Mike Trout... and it's not that he would just call himself one of these guys... no, Westin would have us announce who he was as he ran from the "dugout" to home plate. And it didn't end there. He'd hit his homerun (every at bat), run the bases, and then do a slow-motion replay of what just happened. When it was his turn for outfield, he would make sure we went to our "dugouts" and pretend we were getting ready to switch sides. The kid doesn't miss the details!
Westin really improved this season and I can't wait to see his growth in baseball and whatever other sports he wants to play in the years to come.
For the last game, the coaches pitched to the kids (which is what happens next year). Big treat for the kids.
Final team huddle

Cutest little Giant there ever was!
After the final game, we had a team party at the park, where the kids chowed down some pizza and received their trophies.
Westin and coach Chris.
Leading up to the last game, W was more excited about getting his trophy than actually playing. And I bet you can't guess where that trophy landed in the house... right in the dead center of the fireplace mantel! Let the sports shrine begin.
Very proud parents!
