We had a fun week of celebrating with our families. One night we went out to a new restaurant called Milo and Olive with my dad and Loni. We followed up with ice cream in Brentwood at Sweet Rose Creamery. Delish!
Friday afternoon was the graduation ceremony outside on the lawn in the middle of UCLA campus - a gorgeous setting on a beautiful day. Ryan was a trooper with the picture taking... and my dad proved that in his previous life, he was part of the paparazzi (he was super stealth and somehow got through chained areas and got some great pics of Ryan).
So I guess this is a tradition among the MBA students - they post their name cards (which they have to use in class throughout the two years) to a wall. Cool, right?
With Blake and Todd
It was a long afternoon (we arrived extra early to save seats), and Westin handled it great. During the ceremony and speeches, he quietly watched a movie and then when it was time for Ryan to go on stage to receive his diploma, Westin cheered as loud as anyone.
Grandpa and Grandma Rich
Lots and lots of pictures...
After all the pictures, we dined at The Bel Air Hotel with Rick and Connie. I had no idea this place existed and it was stunning - hidden in the hills behind UCLA. The restaurant there is one of Wolfgang Puck's and it was fabulous!
Then on Saturday night, we celebrated with the entire Rich fam (well, those in LA) at Obika and Sweet Rose again. Basically, we ate our way through LA this week. And while I basically can't eat this week to make up for the calorie intake that occurred last week, I loved trying all these new places and indulging in such yummy food.
And my cute sister-in-law, Shalice is preggo with a boy! So excited for her and Trevor!!! We'll miss you guys!!!
