Christmas Vacation - Part 3

We rounded out our Christmas Vacation with a few days in Valencia with Ryan's family. The whole gang was together, and even though we only had a few days with everyone, we made the most of it with ice skating, decorating gingerbread houses, bowling, shopping and lots of time outside in the beautiful LA winter weather.

On New Year's Eve we did a big family bowling night. Westin does not like to get help with ANYTHING these days (everything is, "I can do it myself!"). So even with bowling, he'd carry that six pound bowling ball to the line and let it go. It usually had no momentum and took about five minutes to get to the pins, but Westin loved it and actually got a spare a few times (he liked to call those "strikes").

And look at this form! Wow! Thank you BYU for providing bowling as an elective PE class.

The pros - Ry, Shalice, Trevor and Adam

Always very optimistic as the ball goes down the lane...

The band of brothers - Doug, Adam, Brian, Trevor and Ryan

Westin was the best cheerleader - he always got so excited when someone got a strike.

The big kids love ice skating and went several times during the vacation. We couldn't let Westin be the only one to stay home from the fun, so we decided to take on the challenge and go ice skating with him --- it was no easy, but he liked being with the kids and looked dang cute in a beanie and skates!

We said goodbye to the Rich gang on Monday night and headed back to our place for this last week of Ryan's break - which has been packed with more activities (Disneyland, BYU basketball game, The Jay Leno Show, Lakers game, and skateboarding in Venice)... And now Westin and I are sick, Ryan starts school Monday and I head out to Chicago tomorrow for work. So what I want to know is, when's the vacation from the vacation? I think I need one ;)
