After Hawaii, we stayed in Salt Lake for a couple more days to hang with the fam and relax a little longer. We didn't do anything major, kind of just hung out and continued to enjoy being away from our regular, daily responsibilities. One quiet afternoon Ryan and I took Westin to The Gateway to check out the splash pad area. He liked watching, but had no interest in getting in on the action of all the kids running through the fountain. So, we decided to hop on Trax and let W take his first "chu chu" ride. We rode up to my dad's station, said hello, and then rode back to The Gateway. He seemed to really enjoy it.

That would be Ryan inside the tunnel

After two and a half long weeks away, we finally headed back to LA last Thursday. Westin did great on the drive back... thanks to our good friends Blue's Clues and Elmo's World.

Though we were headed back to LA, we weren't quite ready to go home. Instead, we stopped off at Ryan's parent's house for the weekend, where his entire family had been throughout the week.
Friday we spent at the pool, feeding the ducks and hanging out with the cousins. Then on Saturday, everyone spent the day at the beach. It was a perfect beach day. Clouds cleared by noon and it was sunny and 75 the rest of the day.

We finally opened the door to our apartment Sunday night. We definitely had an AWESOME vacation, but like any end of a vacation, it's always great to get home.
