Practically 30

Last Thursday was Ryan's 29th birthday. The morning of his birthday, Westin found my hidden stash of birthday presents and brought them to Ryan in bed. Westin insisted that Ryan open them immediately. Turns out, Westin really meant he wanted to open them immediately. And so he did. He opened all of Ryan's presents, including the card. He even got really excited about each gift and would say, "dad, isn't this great!"

After presents, I made pancakes for the boys before we headed off in our different directions for the day. Later that evening my dad and Loni came down to treat us to dinner at Cafe Montana.

To keep himself entertained, Westin began photographing everyone... and himself.

This one actually turned out quite nice

You'd think Westin would have taken this one... but no, in fact, my dad did :)

After dinner, we came back to our place to sing happy birthday and have cake (Cookies n' Cream cake, to be exact) with Ryan's brothers and a few friends.

On Saturday, we had a star-studded day of dining. We had lunch at Umami Burger in Santa Monica, where we sat next to Hilary Swank. That evening, we ate at Tavern in Brentwood, where we saw Carson Daly.
Tavern was delicious. We both had fish and shared a homemade Snickers dessert.

I also had the chance the week before to join Mandy, her family and some friends to celebrate her 29th birthday at Chic.
Poor Mandy was totally sick, so this is her covering her mouth and pretending to blow out her candles.

Lovin' the bangs!

My second family. Love you, Philpotts!
