Long Beach Aquarium

Friday afternoon we took Westin to the Long Beach Aquarium. I have learned recently that I can't tell him about fun activities until the second we are about to do them. We told Westin the night before that we were planning on going to the aquarium the next day and, of course, it was the only thing he talked about all morning until we left. "Can we go the aquarium?" "When are we going to the aquarium?" "Are we going to the aquarium now?" "I want to go to the aquarium." All. Morning. Long.

I'm glad he was so excited to go and luckily, I think it lived up to his expectations.

He was nervous at first to touch any of the animals, but once he did, he loved it and was so proud of himself for doing it.

His favorite exhibit seemed to be the sting rays. After we left that area, he kept asking to go back so he could touch them again.

Seriously, he liked the sting rays more than the sharks.

It's going to be a rough transition when Ryan goes back to work full-time. It's been so nice to have him join us   during the weekday on these different outings.

Speaking of full-time work, we just applied for Westin's passport! This is really happening.

We're bummed we couldn't go! Nate talks about the aquarium all the time. Maybe we can join you one last time before you leave :)
