Save the Tatas

Last weekend I was able to join my girlfriends in San Diego for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk. The girls had actually raised money and walked in honor of Mandy's mom (a three-time survivor) a few years ago. I was eight months pregnant with Westin and wasn't able to join them. After walking, they decided to make a tradition out of it and go down to cheer on the walkers every year. And since then, they've done just that - as the "Ballerinas for Boobies." They've made quite the name for themselves down there. I was so impressed with how many repeat walkers remembered our group. And I was honored to finally join them for this very fun and memorable weekend.

We drove down Friday night, woke up bright and early Saturday morning, decorated the car (and ourselves), and drove off to meet up with the walkers.

Mandy and Kirsten

A little cloudy, but nothing like last year when it down poured on the girls.

This dude was cheering on his girlfriend and decided to join our dance party. One thing that surprised me was how many people wanted to stop and take pictures with us. Not gonna lie - kind of felt like a princess at Disneyland :)

Day three of the walk (day two for us).
Don't get us mixed up with professional ballerinas... we're total amateurs.

Final day of the walk and our final picture from the weekend - Julia, Jen, Harper, Jessica, Mandy, Kirsten, Heather and me.

It was a total blast spending the weekend with these ladies and cheering on the walkers.
