More from the 4th

After the 4th of July celebrations with the Richs, I took the kids to my dad's and then my mom's for the remainder of the week while Ryan traveled for work.

We spent some time with friends at my dad and Loni's place. Their backyard is perfect for the kids - pool and an open grassy area for play.

Whenever we come to stay, my dad always makes a point of staying home late in the mornings and coming home early in the evenings - means the world to me and the kids.

We also got a couple days with my mom and Kenzie, which started off with a Yogurtland trip.

And an evening picnic at the park with Garry's grandkids. Westin and Luke get along great and have become good little buddies.

And miss Avery is starting to enjoy the playground on her own.

We had one full day with my mom, and we spent it making Westin's dreams come true with a visit to an airplane museum in Camarillo, where we saw - and even got inside of - WW2 planes. W and Luke were in heaven.

The boys could have spent all day here. Toward the end they saw the army guns and while looking at each one, they said, "I'd take that one and that one and that one."

After the museum, we headed to the beach for a couple hours.

And this little nugget is starting to be the cutest little trouble maker...
