We headed down Thursday afternoon, spent the day at the pool on Friday and then explored Sea World on Saturday.

My friend Kirsten lives down in San Diego and was able to join us for a few hours Friday afternoon.
I bought Westin a new swimming vest to help him learn to float on his own, but he insisted on also wearing the inner tube with the vest. There was no chance of this kid sinking with both of those on!
Saturday was Sea World. I haven't been in years and was very much looking forward to going. We grabbed $20 off passes at McDonalds on our way, then waited 25 minutes in line to get tickets, and were finally in the park by 12:30. The shows were a little less exciting than I remember them (mainly the Shamu show since the trainers couldn't go in the water with the whales), but Westin seemed to love it all, so that's what really matters :) In fact, after the dolphin show, he looked at us and said, "that was so much fun!".
He may look upset, but that's actually Westin saying "cheese"
Watching the dolphin show
Checking out the beluga whales
Shark reef
Not wanting to do much of anything in a traditional manner these days, here's Westin riding his stroller like Superman.
Watching the sea lion yell for some food
It was a fun weekend with the boys. Westin and I are back in LA now, gearing up for our trip to Utah this weekend. And see that crazy hair on Westin... well, it's looks like this now:
It was time for some serious taming of those locks. I miss his little surfer boy look, but he looks so cute with the short cut. We'll enjoy this look while it grows out a little again.
