January in Review

I feel like I'm always playing catch up on here, so why am I surprise that I'm another month (actually two now) behind in posting. I figure with Instagram and Facebook, not many people are checking the blog anymore, but I do have hopes of some day printing all this out as journals and picture books for the family. (Been saying that for five years, so we'll see when that some day actually comes).

Anyway, here's life from January

Avery started falling asleep without a swaddle and discovered she likes sleeping on her side.

Westin's unique sense of style never ceases to amaze me...
This was out at lunch, when he decided his outfit would look better without a shirt under the vest. I think he was just trying to show off his muscles.

Bath time is one of the kids' favorite times of day. Even Avery starts kicking her legs and swing her arms back and forth when she hears the water start running.

Just another day at the park, saving the world as Power Rangers.

And this one just smiles all day long. Seriously, she does.

A trip to Ikea with friends is always worth documenting!

A beautiful afternoon spent at the driving range.

Some serious face painting

A visit to Santa Cruz with friends

Avery's first ride on the swings

A visit from grandma Diana means one thing - brownies at Lettuce for lunch!

Well, actually it means two things, a date night for us too!
A visit to Twin Peaks, dinner at Nopalito and ice cream and Bi-Rite Creamery

Oh and documentation of another food battle with Westin at dinner. This one was quite epic. All he needed to do was take that small bite of butternut squash soup, and it took nearly 30 minutes, some bribing, and all these wonderful facial expressions to do it.
